Workplace AI review: AI in hiring, performance and monitoring
AI is already in many people decisions, often inside tools bought for something else: application screening, interview scheduling, performance dashboards. From 2 December 2027, the EU AI Act's high-risk obligations apply to AI used in recruitment and in decisions about work. The review shows what you have, who is accountable, and what to fix first.

What the review covers
- Inventory: which AI systems and AI features touch hiring, performance or monitoring, including those inside vendor software.
- Accountability: who owns each system, who approved it, and who can stop it.
- Human oversight: whether the people overseeing a system have the competence, training and authority to overrule it.
- AI literacy: whether the people using these tools understand what they do and where they fail.
- Fairness for different minds: where screening or scoring may filter out people who communicate or work differently.
- Delivery risks: projects and vendor arrangements where ownership is unclear or reporting looks better than reality.
How it works
- 1.A scoping call and a short document request: list of systems, vendor contracts, policies and process maps.
- 2.Interviews with HR, IT or data, risk or compliance, and several managers who use the tools.
- 3.Written findings with a risk-ranked list of fixes and named owners.
- 4.A debrief with the people accountable.
Duration: 3 to 5 days of work. Fee: from CHF 7,999, fixed before we start.
Founding-client terms
The first three reviews are offered at a reduced founding-client price, in return for a named case study.
Why the date matters
Article 26 of the EU AI Act expects deployers of high-risk AI to assign human oversight to people with the necessary competence, training and authority. Employers must also inform workers' representatives and affected workers before such a system is used at the workplace. For AI in employment, these duties apply from 2 December 2027.
The review covers governance, oversight and delivery. It is not legal advice and not a technical bias audit of models.
Frequently asked questions
- Does the EU AI Act apply to a Swiss organisation?
- It can. The Act covers providers and deployers outside the EU when the output of an AI system is used in the EU. Your legal team confirms what applies to you.
- We are a Swiss financial institution. Is that covered?
- FINMA Guidance 08/2024 sets out its expectations for governance and risk management when AI is used. The review can map your HR uses of AI against them.
- Do you test the models for bias?
- No. The review looks at governance, oversight and how the tools are used. If you need technical testing, I help you brief a specialist.
